HC Deb 06 March 1917 vol 91 cc188-9
65. Mr. GINNELL

asked the Home Secretary what causes the delay in releasing the young men whom it was irregularly sought to force into the Army: and when the promise to release them will be redeemed?

Mr. MACPHERSON

My right hon. Friend has requested me to answer this. I am afraid I cannot answer this question in the absence of particulars as to the cases to which the hon. Member is referring. If the hon. Member will give me the necessary particulars, I will have inquiry made.

Mr. GINNELL

Has not the hon. Gentleman had the particulars for several months?

Mr. MACPHERSON

No; I am afraid I have not. I understand some of the releases have been effected.
