24. Mr. HANCOCK

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he can say why Lance-Corporal J. S. Holmes, No. 4154, signal section, 2/6th Sherwood Foresters, No. 12 hut, Rath Camp, The Curragh, Ireland, who enlisted in the 3/6th Sherwood Foresters on 24th February, 1915, and was paid 3s. 5d. per day according to promise, has now had his pay reduced to 1s. 2d. per day and been told that the difference of 2s. 3d. is arrears which must be and is being deducted from his pay?
