§ Mr. BONAR LAWIn view of the fact that, as stated by the late Prime Minister on the 26th October last, the Committee on Commercial and Industrial Policy after the War is already considering the proposals which have been made for the adoption of the metric system in this country, I do not think that any useful purpose would be served by the appointment of a Select Committee on the subject at the present time.
