§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Forster)I have no information whether the Commander-in-Chief has taken a census, as my hon. Friend suggests. Such a matter is within his discretion. I know that he gives the most sympathetic consideration to the question of leave, and I understand that my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State is in communication with him on the subject at the present time.
