asked how many substitutes for munition workers of military age have been found and placed for him by the National Service Department?

Mr. KELLAWAY

A written answer to the hon. Member's question was circulated with the OFFICIAL REPORT for 27th June (see column 406). The answer was to the following effect. The National Service Department have not as yet been called on to furnish substitutes for munition workers of military age. The Employment Exchange Department of the Ministry of Labour have supplied substitutes required to fill vacancies occasioned by release to the Colours.
