HC Deb 28 June 1917 vol 95 c518
47. Mr. WATT

asked the Prime Minister whether, in the interests of economy, he will ask for statistics of the number of law cases that have come up for decision in the Court of Session during the last year as compared with pre-war years before a further appointment of a new judge is made to that Court, and as to how many days in the year the Courts in Edinburgh are in vacation?

The SECRETARY for SCOTLAND (Mr. Munro)

The judicial statistics relative to the Court of Session are in possession of the Government. With regard to the latter part of the question, I would refer my hon. and learned Friend to the Statute 31 and 32 Victoria, Chapter 100, Section 4, which regulates the sittings of the Court.
