HC Deb 25 June 1917 vol 95 cc38-9
43. Mr. HOLMES

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether he means to intro- duce an Education Bill for Scotland; and, if so, when it will be introduced and what will be its scope?

Mr. MUNRO

Should the state of public business permit, I hope to introduce during the present Session a measure dealing with education in Scotland. In that event, I will ask only that the Bill be given a First Reading, in order that Scotland may have full opportunity of considering its provisions. The Bill will not be further proceeded with in the present Session. I am not prepared to anticipate the scope of the measure.
