1. Mr. BYRNE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if he will cause inquiries to be made into the cause of the delay in settling the claim of James Smith, aged sixty years, living at 52, Bearer Street, Dublin, who was shot during the rebellion and is now disabled; and if he is aware that this claim has been before the Victims' Committee for the past nine months?

Will the right hon. Gentleman also make inquiries into the Cole case?

Will the hon. Member give me notice? I am making inquiries about various cases.
