HC Deb 20 June 1917 vol 94 c1811
Mr. McKENNA

Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether it is proposed that the House shall sit on Friday, and, if so, what will be the business?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I think it is necessary that the House should sit on Friday, and we propose to take the further stages of the Military Service (Conventions with Allied States) Bill, and, if possible, the Companies (Particulars as to Directors) Bill and the Confirmation of Executors (War Service, Scotland) Bill.

Sir F. BANBURY

Can the right hon. Gentleman say how late it is proposed to sit to-night?

Mr. BONAR LAW

We hope to be able to get to Clause 5.

Sir F. BANBURY

To get to it, or to get it?

Mr. BONAR LAW

To get to it and through it.

Ordered, "That the Proceedings on the Representation of the People Bill, if under discussion at Eleven of the Clock this night, be not interrupted under the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."— [Mr. Bonar Law.]
