HC Deb 19 June 1917 vol 94 c1615
66. Mr. A. RICHARDSON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether the farmer is to receive 15 per cent, more for his wool clip this year than last year; if so, whether he will explain why the butcher is only to receive the same price from the fellmonger for his wool as he did last year; and if he can see his way clear to place the butcher on the same footing in this respect as the farmer?

Mr. FORSTER

Skin wool is still being paid for at the prices fixed in October last. Arrangements are being made to bring prices into line with those for the new clip which is now beginning to come in. The new price will come into force as quickly as the administrative readjustment can be made.
