HC Deb 18 June 1917 vol 94 c1427
62. Mr. CORY

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, having regard to the fact that it is proposed to ascertain the views of the House on the question of the removal of the ladies' grille by the introduction of a Supplementary Estimate of the probable cost of such removal, he will not intimate when such an opportunity will be afforded; and whether, having regard to the feeling in favour of this removal, he will consider the advisability of giving as early a day as possible for the purpose?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I think it is right that the House of Commons should have an early opportunity of deciding this question, but in the present state of public business I cannot name a definite date.
