HC Deb 13 June 1917 vol 94 c932
82. Mr. GINNELL

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food why no effective measures have yet been taken to supply an adequate number of boxes to bring fresh mackerel from the Aran Isles, off the Galway coast, or to release, either for this country or for America, the 100 barrels of pickled mackerel now long ready for delivery; and whether action will be taken immediately to release this food for human use?

Captain BATHURST

A licence has already been granted for the export of the 100 barrels mentioned in the question. They will be exported to America.
