HC Deb 13 June 1917 vol 94 c918
4. Mr. HUDSON

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he can state the reason of Engineer-fitter M'Millan being removed from work on His Majesty's floating dock at Jarrow-on-Tyne back to Chatham; and whether the workman retained to take his place is an efficient workman in connection with dock engineering?

Dr. MACNAMARA

M'Millan was borne on the books of Chatham Dockyard, was temporarily employed on the Tyne, and has been returned to Chatham, his place of permanent employment. The workman who has taken his place is in every respect an efficient workman.
