HC Deb 13 June 1917 vol 94 cc933-4
99. Mr. FIELD

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he is aware that a demand for allotments is still unprovided for in Dublin city, especially in St. Patrick's Division; and whether, in view of the fact that the House of Commons on the 13th April, 1894, passed a Resolution, nemine contradicente, to the effect that all facilities for obtaining land now possessed by England should be at once extended to Ireland, whether he will extend the Allotments Act to Ireland, as requested by several resolutions forwarded to him?

Mr. DUKE

The information I have as to the successful working of allotment schemes in urban districts throughout Ireland leads me to think new legislation is not at present required.
