40. Mr. C. WASONasked the Minister of Munitions if his attention has been called to the case of Mr. W. F. Hamilton, a gardener in the employ of Lieutenant Whitaker, Royal Naval Reserve, who seems to have been induced to join as a volunteer the Army Reserve (Munitions); and if, under all the circumstances and the importance of growing the maximum amount of food, and also that a substitute could be obtained, he will allow Mr. Hamilton to return to his employment for at any rate six months?
§ Mr. KELLAWAYArrangements have been made to release Mr. Hamilton from munitions work at once if he is prepared to take up work upon the land.
