The CHAIRMAN OF WAYS AND MEANS informed the House that the Local Legislation Committee not being appointed to meet until Tuesday next, one of the parties opposing the Sheffield Corporation Bill, which is set down for consideration on Tuesday next by the Local Legislation Committee, had appeared before him and proved that the evidence of Hector Maclean Wilson, Chief Inspector of the West Riding of Yorkshire Rivers Board, Wakefield, was essential to their case, and that his attendance could not be procured without the intervention of the House.

Ordered, That the said Hector Maclean Wilson do attend the Local Legislation Committee on Tuesday next, at half-past Eleven of the clock.
