§ Mr. CHAMBERLAINI am afraid I do not understand the hon. Member's question. If he intends to refer to officers of the Indian Army the answer is that they have not been reduced to the English rate. If, on the other hand, he refers to British Service officers, the decision to pay them British pay and allowances while prisoners was taken by the War Office, and the question should be addressed to the representative of that office.
