HC Deb 04 July 1917 vol 95 c1081
20. BILLING

asked whether at Victoria, Cameroons, a German, named Couper, interned earlier in the War, has now been released; whether he has been appointed by the resident to a position on the Food Control Committee in that place in connection with the firm of W. D. Woodin and Company, Limited, English traders; and whether that appointment was made to the exclusion of other English traders in the same town?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Sir A. Steel-Maitland)

If the hon. Member will furnish me with the information on which the question is based, I will consider whether I should inquire of the Governor.
