HC Deb 04 July 1917 vol 95 c1113
97. MARRIOTT

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is in a position to state if further restrictions are contemplated upon railway travel during the approaching holiday period?

Mr. ROBERTS

There is no present intention to impose further restrictions, but as I indicated in reply to the hon. and gallant Member for the Torquay Division on the 20th June it is very desirable in the general interests of those who wish to take holidays that the length of railway journeys should be limited as far as possible.
