§ Resolution reported, "That a sum, not exceeding £10, be granted to His Majesty, to make good an Excess on the Grant for the Ministry of Munitions for the year ended on the 31st day of March, 1916,"
§ Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House doth agree with the Committee in the said Resolution."
§ Sir F. BANBURYMay I ask what all this is about? We really ought to have some explanation of it. I understood it 881 was arranged that no further business should be taken after the Income Tax Clauses of the Finance Bill had been passed.
§ Mr. BALDWINWe have no desire to take the Report stage of this Resolution if anyone objects. It is simply the Report stage of the excess on the Grant for the Ministry of Munitions which was passed about three days ago. It confirmed the appropriation of the excess in the Appropriation Accounts of last year, which had been passed on the 17th of May, before the Public Accounts Committee.
§ Mr. KINGI hope the Government will not take this to-night, because there might be a discussion upon it, and it was understood that we should not proceed with any other Orders
§ Question put, and agreed to.
§ The remaining Orders were read, and postponed.
