HC Deb 21 February 1917 vol 90 cc1322-3
48. Mr. GINNELL

asked the Prime Minister if he will define the new Ministerial positions to which Lord Milner and Lord Curzon have been appointed, with the salaries attached thereto, and say when this House will be afforded an opportunity of discussing those appointments and salaries?

Mr. BONAR LAW

Lord Curzon is a member of the Cabinet and holds the office of Lord President of the Council, to which is attached the salary of £2,000 per annum, and Lord Milner is a member of the Cabinet without portfolio, and receives a salary of £5,000, the Vote for which was agreed to on 13th February.

Mr. DILLON

Will the right hon. Gentleman inform us whether that is correct? Is he in receipt of £5,000 a year, or in receipt of a salary out of the pool?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I have already answered that question in the Debate on this very point.
