Mr. PERCY HARRIS (Paddington, S.)asked the Under-Secretary of State for War, whether the pay of men transferred from the Army to Army Reserve for munition work, as well as the separation allowances of their wives, ceases on the date of transfer; whether he is aware that a considerable period frequently elapses before they receive any wages; and whether he will take steps to remedy the hardship thereby caused?
§ Mr. FORSTERArmy pay and allowances cease on transfer. I am not aware 617 of any serious delay in the payments of wages, but; if the hon. Member will give me particulars of any cases that have come under his notice, I will inquire.
