ESSEX(by Private Notice) asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the rumours circulating in certain quarters that the Government has decided to extend the date for receiving applications to the new War Loan from the 17th February to the 1st March or some other forward date have any foundation in fact?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI have received suggestions that the date for the closing of the list should be postponed, but I do not think it would be desirable to do so, and it will close on Friday.
