HC Deb 12 February 1917 vol 90 c279
Mr. BYRNE

On a point of Order, Mr. Speaker. I desire to point out that I had a question on the Paper with regard to the cultivation of vacant land in Phoenix Park, Dublin. The right hon. Gentleman the Chief Secretary made reference to my question. He enumerated it among several other questions, but in his answer he made no reference whatsoever to my question. I now ask for an answer to my question, which was completely ignored. May I ask you, Sir, whether it is according to the Rules that questions should be mentioned by a Minister and not answered? My question was No. 93. May I ask for an answer to that question now or am I to put it down again? The Lord Lieutenant for Ireland made a public promise which should be carried out and the issue should not be evaded.

Mr. DUKE

On a point of Order. The fact is that I did not refer to the hon. Member's question No. 93. I referred to his question No. 92.

Mr. BYRNE

No. 92 contains no reference to Phoenix Park; it was not reached. I will put my question down again.
