HC Deb 25 April 1917 vol 92 c2391

The following questions stood on the Paper:

1. Sir J. D. REES

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether steps have been, or will be, taken to make widely known in the Eastern possessions of the British Crown the manner in which the Germans are reported to be treating the bodies of their soldiers slain in battle.

51. Mr. R. McNEILL

To ask the Prime Minister if he will take steps to make it known as widely as possible in Egypt, India, and the East generally, that the Germans use the dead bodies of their own soldiers, and of their enemies when they obtain possession of them, as food for swine.

Mr. DILLON

I should like to ask why Questions 1 and 51 have not been put?

Mr. SPEAKER

They have been withdrawn at the request of the hon. Members in whose names they appear.
