§ (1) For the purpose of postponing local elections, section two of the Parliament and Local Elections Act, 1916, shall be deemed to be incorporated in this Act, subject to the following modifications:—
§ The reference in sub-section (1) to the Elections and Registration Act, 1915, shall include a reference to the Parliament and Local Elections Act, 1916; the first of June, nineteen hundred and eighteen and the twentieth of 2549 May, nineteen hundred and eighteen, shall be substituted respectively for the first of June, nineteen hundred and seventeen and the twentieth of May, nineteen hundred and seventeen; and the year nineteen hundred and eighteen shall be substituted for the year nineteen hundred and seventeen in sub-section two of that section.
§ (2) Section four of the Parliament and Local Elections Act, 1916, shall have effect with respect to the revision of the jurors' lists in Ireland in the present year as it had effect with respect to the revision of the jurors' lists in Ireland in the year nineteen hundred and sixteen.
§ Lords Amendments:
§ Leave out from the word "elections" ["postponing local elections"] to the end of the Clause, and insert instead thereof the words "and making provision with respect to the revision of jurors' lists in Ireland, section two of the Parliament and Local Elections Act, 1916, and the enactments referred to therein, and section four of the Elections and Registration Act, 1915, as set out in a consolidated form, with the necessary modifications, in the Schedule to this Act, shall be deemed to be incorporated in this Act."
