HC Deb 24 April 1917 vol 92 c2249
Mr. DILLON

I wish to ask the Leader of the House a question with reference to the first Order on the Paper—the Second Reading of the Corn Production Bill. I wish to know whether his attention has been called to the widespread interest taken in this first Order of the day, and to the great necessity there is for an important Debate on the subject, and whether, in the course of that Debate, if a general desire be manifested for a further opportunity to continue it, he will give a second day?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I think the suggestion is certainly a reasonable one, but that the House had better wait for the development of the Debate to see whether a second day is necessary.
