63. Mr. WILSON-FOX

asked the Prime Minister whether, having regard to the difficulty which Members of this House and the public experience in obtaining accurate information in regard to the various Committees which have been appointed by the Government during the War, he will cause a Return to be prepared as soon as possible giving in relation to every such Committee the following information: By whom it was appointed; its terms of reference or other short particulars in relation to the scope and nature of its duties; its composition and the names of its executive officials; its official address; and particulars as to the Reports, if any, which may have been published in reference to its work?

Steps are now being taken to prepare a list of Commissions and Committees set up to dealwith public questions arising out of the War, in continuation of Command Papers 7855 and 8256. The inclusion of particulars such as my hon. Friend desires will form the subject of consideration when the Return is being compiled.
