Mr. CROOKSasked the Minister of Munitions whether he is aware that discontent exists in the Arsenal owing to the fact that foremen and principal fore men who have no claim as regards permanency are paid at a lower rate than their subordinates; and whether he will make inquiries into the matter with a view to providing that the rate of men in charge of other men shall approximate more to the rate of their subordinates?
§ Dr. ADDISONA deputation of temporary foremen and assistant foremen was received by the Department on 2nd March, when this question was raised. The matter is now under discussion between the Treasury and the Ministry, and a decision will be given shortly.
