§ 70. Colonel Lord HENRY CAVENDISH-BENTINCKasked the President of the Local Government Board whether every tribunal in the country furnishes a return to the Board showing the total number of claims for exemption received by each tribunal and the total number of exemptions granted by each tribunal; and, if so, whether he will give the information to the House?
§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. Hayes Fisher)Returns were obtained from tribunals in May last, and my right hon. Friend proposes to ask for a 715 further return shortly. There are objections on the ground of public policy to publishing the statistics. I may mention that my right hon. Friend is in constant touch with the work of tribunals through his inspectors.
