86. Colonel GRIFFITHSasked the Minister of Munitions whether the new badge certificate recently issued by the Ministry of Munitions is worded in the exact terms of the decision of the Man Power Board, or if any additions or alterations have been subsequently made; and, if so, whether such alterations or amendments were approved of by the Man Power Board?
Mr. PRIMROSECertain alterations were made by the Department under legal advice with a view to giving effect to what appeared to be the intention of the Man Power Distribution Board, and the matter is now receiving the consideration of the Board.
Colonel GRIFFITHSDoes not the addition which has been made in fact still place out of range men who are at present shielding underneath the munitions and other umbrellas?
Mr. PRIMROSEWe are under the impression that this circular we sent out fulfils the intentions of the Man Power Board, and we have received no contrary advice.
