HC Deb 18 October 1916 vol 86 c542
45. Sir JOHN JARDINE

asked the Prime-Minister whether he will be able to give opportunity before this year ends to discuss matters connected with India, either on the Budget or otherwise?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Asquith)

As far as I have been able to ascertain, there is no general desire for such a discussion at the present time, but if the hon. Member desires to pursue the matter, I would suggest that he should place himself in communication with the Secretary of State for India.
