88. Colonel GRIFFITHSasked the Minister of Munitions what steps are being taken by his Department for the distribution of discharged men to replace single men working in controlled establishments, and whether a number of discharged men are available for the purpose; and if he can state what is the cause of the delay in arranging further exchange?
Mr. PRIMROSEAs my right hon. Friend indicated last week, a scheme is under discussion between the Ministry of Munitions and the War Office for replacing single unskilled men working on munitions by men unfit for general service. I regret that it is not yet possible to announce the details.
Colonel GRIFFITHSHow long is it likely to be before the scheme is settled—it has been going on for some time now?
Mr. PRIMROSEIt is practically settled. There is one small outstanding detail, but I can assure the hon. and gallant Gentleman that by to-morrow it will be settled.
