HC Deb 17 October 1916 vol 86 c388
Mr. ANDERSON

(by Private Notice) asked the President of the Board of Agriculture whether, in view of the considerable anxiety existing with regard to the price at which the Australian wheat purchased by the Government will be placed on the market, he is now in a position to give an assurance that the shipping of the wheat will be arranged for on terms not more expensive than those made for the transport of the purchases of the Sugar Commission?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of AGRICULTURE (Mr. Acland)

The Royal Commission on Wheat Supplies is now actively engaged in completing the arrangements for the shipment of wheat—in consultation with the Departments concerned—but it is not desirable at present to make a statement on the subject.
