HC Deb 12 October 1916 vol 86 c204
22. Mr. FIELD

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he is aware that the House of Commons on 13th April, 1894, passed a resolution unanimously that all facilities for obtaining land now possessed by England should be at once extended to Ireland; whether he is aware that the Allotment Act has not yet been extended to Ireland; and whether, in view of recent demands, the Government will, with certain modifications, extend the Act to Ireland?

Mr. DUKE

The facilities for obtaining land in Ireland are, I am advised, greater than in England. This was pointed out in answer to the hon. Member's questions of 14th March last and on 6th April. I cannot, at present, add anything to those answers.
