§ Mr. DUKEThe Attorney-General, in making the existing arrangements, was actuated by a desire to save public expense. There is no doubt that a considerable amount of legal expenses will be saved by having three Assizes instead of four, but it is impossible to state at present what will be the precise amount of the saving.
