§ 51. Mr. THOMASasked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the hardships of non-commissioned officers and men who have been in the fighting line practically since the commencement of the War, and the fact that numbers of men have been in training in this country for nearly twelve months, arrangements will be made to give relief to men at the front by those fully trained at home?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEI quite agree with the hon. Member that men who have had long continuous service without leave should have every facility given to them for such leave this winter. The Commander-in-Chief in France is most sympathetic to this view, and I think we can safely leave it in his hands.
