HC Deb 21 November 1916 vol 87 c1267

Mr. BILLING rose in his place and asked leave to move the Adjournment of the House, for the purpose of discussing a definite matter of urgent public importance, namely, "the breakdown of the inland water transport operations in dispatching the Marine Transport necessary for forthcoming operations in Asia Minor, and to the urgent and vital need for the immediate co-operation between the War Office, the Admiralty, and the Board of Trade in the transportation of this craft, so as to prevent any further delay in dispatching of the craft and prevent any repetition of the failure of our military operations in Asia Minor from the same cause. "The pleasure of the House not having been signified, Mr. SPEAKER called on those Members who supported the Motion to rise in their places, and, less than forty Members having accordingly risen, the House proceeded to the Business of the Day.
