Mr. LYNCHasked the Secretary of State for War whether he can state the 561 reason for the arrest of Mr. Arthur Griffiths; how long he has been in detention; whether any charge has been preferred against him or whether it is intended to prefer a charge against him; whether he is aware that Mr. Griffiths took no part whatever in the Dublin rebellion; and whether, in view of the effect on public opinion in Ireland, he will take steps to secure the immediate release of Mr. Griffiths?
