CORNWALLasked the President of the Board of Trade if he has considered the advisability of arranging for a circulating exhibition of British goods in the various parts of the British Empire and in the chief neutral countries; and, if so, can he give the House any information with regard to the matter?
Mr. RUNCIMANI have had under consideration the possibility of arranging for an exhibition of British manufactures which would visit the principal commercial centres in the Dominions, and am now in communication with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Colonies on the subject. My hon. Friend will appreciate that extensive preparations will have to be made, should an exhibition of the kind prove practicable. As at present advised, I do not contemplate attempting to include in the present scheme exhibitions in neutral countries.
