HC Deb 31 May 1916 vol 82 c2707
52. Major NEWMAN

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the nature of the problems that await discussion by the House and of the call that His Majesty's Ministers have made to those working on munition work to forego the Whitsun holiday, it is still his intention to move the adjournment of the House on Thursday next for a three weeks' holiday?

The PRIME MINISTER

The answer is in the affirmative. I shall be prepared to give my reasons when I make this proposal to-morrow.
