HC Deb 31 May 1916 vol 82 cc2718-9
107. Mr. ANDERSON

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the desire of the Government to facilitate saving during the present period of exceptional employment, and in view of the need for providing for the industrial dislocation attendant on the cessation of war work, he proposes, before the Summer Recess, to extend the system of unemployment insurance to all industries in which such extension is desired?

Mr. PRETYMAN

This matter is receiving very careful consideration, and I hope to be able to make a statement on the subject very shortly.
