asked the Under-Secretary for War whether he has been able to make arrangements with the Admiralty for out-of-door painters in Cornwall, under proper regulations, to carry on their out-of-door painting in that county and elsewhere?

Mr. TENNANT

Under the terms of the Regulation which now governs this matter it is only necessary for an applicant to obtain the permission of the local competent naval or military authority, to whom complete discretion has been delegated in regard to granting permits in suitable cases.
