Mr. ROBINSONasked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he will issue instructions to commanding officers of battalions in this country that leave be given to men serving under them in special cases caused by business pressure and claims, and thus minimise the loss unavoidably befalling men called upon at this national crisis to leave all and serve their country?
§ Mr. TENNANTOfficers commanding are already in possession of instructions on this matter which meet, I think, the hon. Gentleman's point. I will send him a copy of the instructions.
