§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Joseph Pease)Fifteen vacancies at present exist in the supervising classes of the Central Telegraph Office. Promotions were suspended recently pending inquiries how far it was necessary to fill supervising appointments under present conditions; but a number of promotions have been made during the last few days, and steps are being taken to fill such of the remaining vacancies as are due to be filled.
