HC Deb 22 May 1916 vol 82 c1831
Colonel CHURCHILL

May I ask a question with regard to the Debate on the Vote of Credit: Whether, in view of the three days to be devoted to the Vote of Credit, any arrangement can be made to allocate the time of the House to the three or four outstanding questions that Members desire to discuss, and will the Government take steps through the usual channels to secure this end?

The PRIME MINISTER

I think that is a very reasonable suggestion. Of course, the control of the Debate rests with the Speaker when he is in the Chair, and with the Chairman of Ways and Means when he is in the Chair, but the Government will do all in their power to facilitate the arrangement my right hon. Friend suggests.
