§ This Act may be cited as the Military Service Act, 1916 (Session 2), and the principal Act and this Act may be cited together as the Military Service Acts, 1916, and the Territorial and Reserve Forces Act, 1907, and this Act (so far as they relate to the Territorial Force) may be cited together as the Territorial Force Acts, 1907 and 1916.
§ Amendment made: After the word "Act" ["principal Act and this Act"], insert the words "shall be read together and".
§ Question, "That the Clause, as amended, stand part of the Bill," put, and agreed to.
§ The CHAIRMANThe Secretary for Scotland does not move the new Clause (Removal of Doubts as to Meaning of "Court of Summary Jurisdiction" in Army Act) which stands in his name, and with regard to the two new Clauses in the name of the hon. Member for North Somerset (Mr. King) dealing with Amendments of the Army Act, they are outside the scope of the Bill. I now call upon the hon. Member to move his proposed new Clause to amend Sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the principal Act.
