HC Deb 16 March 1916 vol 80 c2242
49. Major ASTOR

asked the Prime Minister how many schemes for training men who have been discharged from the Army and Navy, and who may be desirous of obtaining technical instruction to fit them for skilled occupations, have been already organised?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I think the hon. and gallant Member must be referring to the work of the Statutory Committee. This Committee is at work on this problem, but he will realise that there has been no time as yet to produce well-considered and feasible schemes.
