HC Deb 14 March 1916 vol 80 cc1883-4
46. Mr. GINNELL

asked the Prime Minister if he will give Parliament an opportunity to restore generally the right of personal liberty until forfeited 0n conviction of an offence proved according to law?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

If the hon. Member has in mind the question of internments under the Defence of the Realm Regulations, I would refer him to the statement made by the Home Secretary on the 2nd March, when the subject was fully discussed in this House.

Mr. GINNELL

The right hon. Gentleman has not answered the question when will the Prime Minister give the House an opportunity of dealing with this important matter?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I understand that it was debated the week before last.
