§ 72. Mr. SNOWDENasked the President of the Local Government Board if, in view of the fact that local tribunals are stating that pledges given by Ministers in Parliament on the Military Service Act, 1916, are not binding upon them, he will obtain an amendment of the Order in Council made under that Act embodying the pledges of Ministers as a part of the Regulations, particularly those pledges in regard to widows' sons, to serious domestic hardships, and the right of conscientious objectors to employment in industrial occupations of national importance?
